Turning Away From Gossip

Jesus, I have joined in talk that hurt someone who was not there to defend themselves. Forgive me, and guard my lips from careless stories. Let my words build people up and carry only what is true and kind.

“Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear.”
