Prayer for Forgiveness

Merciful Lord, I come before you with a heavy heart. Forgive me for my shortcomings and the ways I have strayed. Wash me clean and create in me a pure heart, O God.

“Have mercy on me, God, according to your loving kindness. According to the multitude of your tender mercies, blot out my transgressions.”
